When I’m Angry, I Pray For Justice

I’ve been praying to God to help me to understand the relationship between forgiveness and justice.

When you are abused and mistreated perpetually it makes you extremely angry, and I think anger is a sign of maltreatment and injustice.

Jesus said we should always forgive when we are wronged, and we must, but that doesn’t mean God won’t administer justice to the wicked.

It would be unfair if when someone behaves in a murderous, cruel and evil way again and again that they wouldn’t face just punishment for their wrongdoing.

Jesus warned about punishment in hell.

God sees and knows everything and He is the perfect Judge.

Everything done in secret will be brought to light and the wicked will be punished for their wrongdoing according to the justice of God.

When you are abused, endure with patience and try to love your enemies and pray for them, but also know that justice will be done.

Thanks be to God.

Amen.
